The way ST control quality of ignition coils.

To make high quality of Ignition coil, several departments in our factory have to get involved and work together, normally started from R&D, monitored by QC, and ended by PD. Each qualified coil is effort evidence of our team.

1. What R&D contributes.

After rigorous experimental verification by ST R&D team, we has internally established the benchmark of structural design, material, and process for each product, ensuring every product is just a perfect replacement of the original one.

2. The quality job of production department.

As a professional and leading manufacturer of ignition coils in China, ST uses premium raw materials from Germany and Japan for the key components of ignition coils for quality assurance. Generally, our production process of ignition coils can be divided into five stages: injection molding, winding, assembly, epoxy resin potting, and testing. Each stage is carried out in our non-dust workshops and produced strictly in accordance with the quality standards of IATF16949. The workshops are equipped with experienced workers and advanced equipment. Before entering the workshop, each worker must put on anti-static clothing, disposable gloves, hats and anti-static wristband to enter the dedusting air shower system before going to their respective workstations. Which ensures that no dust, impurities, or other substances enter the products and affect their quality. What’s more, our facilities are regularly inspected and cleaned to ensure consistent quality.

3. Indispensable QC

During the production process, all semi-finished and finished products are 100% tested. In addition, the company's quality team also make random inspections on all products per GB2828 testing standards, ensuring that each coil is qualified before storage.

For customized coils, our R&D team will research and produce based on the samples or drawing parameters provided by the customers. The initial sample after the mold completion will undergo repeated verification and be sent to the customer for testing. If the customer is not satisfied with the initial sample, the improvements will be continued until it’s perfect as client expected.
